Ethan Bautista Cruz is a Business Management student at St. John's University and will be interning with the Trust for the Americas this summer as a Program, Data, and Operations support intern.

He looks forward to contributing to the Trust's mission while developing his skills in program management, operations, data analysis, and content development. Ethan hopes to gain valuable professional experience and continue growing as a future leader dedicated to creating meaningful impact across the Americas.

Guadalupe holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication from Universidad Austral and has received training in business at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, as well as in Artificial Intelligence at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Steven Puig is president of Banco BHD and, in this role, serves as chairman of the company and its Board of Directors. He is also executive president of the Banking and Payments division of Centro Financiero BHD.
Prior to his current position, he served as executive vice president and general manager, as well as executive president of Banco BHD.
Steven Puig is a financial industry professional with more than 30 years of experience in both international and domestic banking. His deep understanding and global perspective on the banking business and its markets are reflected in a career that includes leading major financial institutions. He previously served as president of Citibank Colombia and general manager of Citibank El Salvador. He has also held senior leadership roles at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the United States, Citigroup for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Chase Manhattan in Puerto Rico and the United States.
He has served on the boards of directors of various associations and non-governmental organizations across Latin America. He is currently treasurer and a board member of the Financial Alliance for Women (FAW), where he also mentors other international financial institutions within the alliance. In addition, he serves as chairman of the business council of the Alliance for Development in Democracy and as treasurer of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAMDR).
Steven Puig holds a degree in International Business Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, both earned in the United States. He is also a speaker and mentor on topics related to business and social sustainability.

Jonathan Fantini-Porter is a senior executive advancing inclusive growth, security, and democratic governance across Latin America and the Caribbean. He serves as Senior Vice President for the Americas at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, leading regional strategy to expand financial inclusion, small business resilience, and digital equity across 35 countries. He oversees initiatives such as Strive Mexico and Strive Women and manages Mastercard’s blended-finance portfolio in the Americas, mobilizing more than $1.5 billion. Previously, he was the founding CEO of a public–private alliance launched by the U.S. Vice President to address the root causes of migration, mobilizing $5.2 billion in investment and job creation across Mexico and Northern Central America. He also held leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and in the U.S. government, including positions at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Export-Import Bank. He holds degrees from Georgetown University and Harvard University and is an Eisenhower Fellow and World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

Humberto Rumbos serves as a Project Officer at The Trust for the Americas, where he supports initiatives in English-speaking countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. He contributes to the development of reskilling and upskilling projects through the Skills for Sustainability program in the United States and Mexico, the SEED Project in Grenada, and the Digital Education Programme in Belize. He is also the point of contact for the Trust Social Franchise with organizations in Puerto Rico, Grenada, and Venezuela.

With an outstanding academic background, holding a Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and an honors Master’s Degree in Political and Government Studies from Universidad Metropolitana, Humberto has more than seven years of experience in international organizations working on democracy, digital rights, and social impact. He has coordinated projects connected to Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Panama, as well as information integrity and regional influence initiatives related to actors such as Russia and China. He is currently a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Information Integrity, contributing to the design of global policies and standards on reliable information.

A digital Marketing Consultant, strategist and entrepreneur with 10 years and counting in the advertising & digital marketing space, Racheal has experience creating digital campaigns for well-known and loved corporate brands & and non-profit organizations.

She is an advanced Toastmaster who holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the Mona School of Business Management (MSBM – UWI), and certifications in project management, Linkedin Business and Google advertising.

In 2023, María José joined The Trust as a volunteer to support Maite Capra with the coordination of the countries under her responsibility. She is a professional with diverse skills and academic backgrounds, holding a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts, a Master's degree in Project Management, and a Technical degree in Organic Agriculture. She has also been a Zumba instructor for 10 years and actively practices all her professions.

She is originally from San José, Costa Rica, and has over 20 years of experience working in the public sector on topics related to cultural management, public policy, and the management of public investment projects with international cooperation. Today, she works as an independent consultant and runs a small business called PlantCare, where she focuses on plants and wellness.

She likes to be called Marijó, believes that self-love is essential for fulfillment and excellent interpersonal relationships, and is also a firm believer in responsible pet adoption—she has three beloved dogs.

Carlos Ardila Lülle Gaviria is the founder and head of the Organización Ardila Lülle. Among the companies within this organization there are RCN Television, RCN Radio, Iberplast, Postobón and others. Mr. Ardila Lülle Gaviria has at Organización Ardila Lülle many projects toward causes such as culture and education in Colombia. He is a Former Member of the Board: Postobon; Avianca; InCauca; Bankers Trust LatAm; Deutsche Bank LatAm; RCN Radio and Television.

Albert Ramdin formally assumed office as Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) this Friday.

Oscar Raúl Ortega Pacheco holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from IPN and a Master’s in Policy and Technological Change Management. With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, he founded Punto Seguridadmagazine at UNAM and coordinates the LikeInteligente campaign at the Internet MX Association to protect children and adolescents online. He currently serves as General Director of Core Group Solutions, leading digital transformation and cybersecurity strategies for governments, educational institutions, and businesses.

Holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the National University of Salta and a specialization in Education and New Technologies (FLACSO). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Mauro is a researcher and educator, contributing to workshops, seminars, and academic courses. An Electronics Engineer from the National Technological University, Nahuel is a university professor and researcher with over 20 years of experience. He founded MANA Desarrollos (2006), a company dedicated to creating technological solutions for social inclusion, and Innovar para Incluir (2016), a social project focused on scientific outreach and inclusive technology training. Specializing in Autism and ASD, he studied Education and New Technologies (FLACSO) and is completing a Master's in Science, Technology, and Society (UNQ). External advisor at CILSA ONG since 2019.

With over 25 years of experience, Yvy Abbade has served as Vice President and Executive Director of the Inclusion Units at Unilehu – Universidade Livre para a Eficiência Humana for 16 years. She is Vice President of the National Association for Supported Employment, a university professor, and a consultant specializing in social responsibility, corporate sustainability, inclusive education, diversity, and inclusion.

With a Master’s in Environmental Psychology, Carolina is a Consultant in ICT and Disability and General Director of Consultoría en TIC y Discapacidad. She represents the Ibero-American Melisa Network for Accessibility in Audiovisual Media in Mexico and serves as a Special Informatics and Accessibility Advisor for Grupo EDUCARE. With diplomas in accessible materials, subtitling, inclusive tourism, and event accessibility, she also trained disability technology advisors at SEP (1984-2011) and is a member of FINDEDIS.

Project Manager for Disability Inclusion at the Universidad Tecnológica Santa Catarina (UTSC). Since 2012, she has led the Inclusive Higher Education Model, internationally recognized for its comprehensive, non-welfarist approach to supporting students with disabilities. A key participant and organizer of forums, courses, and discussions on inclusive education and disability rights, she actively promotes equitable opportunities in higher education in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

With over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, Carlos has contributed to projects in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. He holds a degree in Mechatronic Engineering from UNAM and an MBA from Grenoble École de Management.

Senior Director of Corporate Affairs at Microsoft Mexico since 2002, Armida has extensive experience in finance and trade. She served as Executive Representative for The Nikko Securities Company in Mexico and as Trade Counselor for Bancomext in Japan. She also advised the Secretary of Commerce and Industrial Development. Fluent in English, she has strong knowledge of French, Italian, and basic German and Japanese. Armida has served on IFT advisory councils and founded the National Public Health Institute Board.

Currently a receptionist at Microsoft Mexico, Alicia lost her vision in 2009 due to a misdiagnosis. After a challenging adaptation process, she learned Braille, sensory photography, and technological tools at Aula POETA, where she realized technology's power to transform lives. With over eight years at Microsoft, Alicia works with accessible technologies, proving that innovation is key to overcoming challenges and building a successful professional and social future.

Carlos Noreña is a founding partner of IOTIC SAS, a company supported by MinTIC and Colciencias through the IncubaTI program. His company specializes in developing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions integrated with mobile applications and web management platforms. In 2018, he achieved 3rd place at ActInSpace Colombia, earning recognition from the Trust for the Americas of the OAS for entrepreneurship with a strong ICT component.

Psychoanalyst with over 24 years of clinical experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and adults. A Ph.D. candidate in Critical Theory at Instituto 17 and an honors graduate of the Master’s in Psychoanalysis from Centro Eleia. Founder of the Child Development and Early Intervention Space (EDIIT) and president of Derechos, Autonomías y Sexualidades (DAS). A feminist and social activist, Vanesa has collaborated with organizations such as ILSB, MEXFAM, and Balance, advocating for children's and sexual rights.

Web Developer at Asociación Conexión and a Computer Science student at Universidad Don Bosco, with 2 years of experience developing technology solutions for social well-being. Through Conexión's TICONGLE program, I specialized in Web Development via courses and workshops tailored to real-world demands, which significantly boosted my professional growth. Currently, I develop technological solutions and teach youth in the TICONGLE program, supporting their training in technology.

Cynthia is a psychologist with a clinical specialization and extensive experience in international recruitment across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Africa for companies in diverse industries. Currently a Career Coach at LaPieza Academy, a bootcamp helping individuals secure jobs that exceed salary expectations, she has guided professionals in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Poland to advance their careers. Cynthia is dedicated to innovative, bias-free recruitment practices, leveraging technology and a human-centered approach to create positive impact.

Advocacy Coordinator at Intersecta Organización para la Igualdad, A.C., Nicole focuses on violence against women, militarization, the penal system, and alternatives to criminal law to safeguard women’s rights in labor and university settings. She holds a degree in International Relations (Tec de Monterrey) with studies in gender and law (CIDE) and punitive feminism (Instituto 17). Nicole has over six years of experience working on feminist projects and with national and international civil society organizations.

Director of YouthBuild Mexico, Teresita leads programs like Jóvenes con Rumbo and Oportunidad, focusing on life skills, educational reintegration, and employment for disadvantaged youth, including those in juvenile detention centers and marginalized areas. She is part of the coordinating team for the Alianza Jóvenes con Trabajo Digno, a multisectoral network of 64 entities. Leonardo Ortiz Villacorta is an expert in innovation, international development, and social impact, with over 20 years of global leadership experience in technology, the public sector, and nonprofits. He currently serves as Special Advisor for The Trust for the Americas, affiliated with the OAS. Previously, he was Vice President of Code.org, driving global partnerships to expand computer science education, focusing on women and underrepresented groups. Leonardo also held senior roles at Microsoft, including Global Director of Philanthropy.

Karina Cordova is the Global Partnerships Lead at Code.org. She began her career teaching history in rural schools in Chile and later specialized in computer science, blending educational innovation with technology. Previously, she worked at Fundación Kodea, training over 11,000 teachers in computer science. Karina also served as a consultant for Chile's Ministry of Education and led academic projects in Chile, Colombia, and the U.S., focusing on innovative methodologies like Project-Based Learning and Design Thinking to prepare students for 21st-century challenges.

Ricardo Kamel is the General Manager of HP Inc. Brazil. With a solid track record at the company since 2016, he has led strategic areas in sales and marketing, focusing on channels and partners. His current mission is to strengthen HP’s business in the country, driving initiatives aligned with the pillars of climate action, human rights, and digital equity. Prior to joining HP, Ricardo served as Director of the commercial and consumer division at Ingram Micro. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the School of Economics and Management at the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP).

Paula Dornhofer is a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Automation at Unicamp. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, a Master’s in Mobile Communications from Politecnico di Torino, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. She served as Associate Director of the Exploratory Science Museum (2018–2023) and currently coordinates the Cognitive Architectures research line at Unicamp’s Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Architectures Hub (H.IAAC). Her expertise includes projects on generative AI, multimodal AI, and affective computing. She is a member of the

Jorge Cella is the Americas Director of Skills for Social Impact at Microsoft, where he leads programs that promote computer science education and skills development for individuals and communities. With over 15 years of experience in social responsibility and high-impact projects alongside governments and NGOs, Jorge has spent nearly 30 years at Microsoft in areas such as sales, marketing, and technological solutions like artificial intelligence and cloud computing. His goal is to empower people and organizations through innovative strategies that create positive and sustainable impact.

Nahuel González:
An Electronics Engineer from the National Technological University, Nahuel is a university professor and researcher with over 20 years of experience. He founded MANA Desarrollos (2006), a company dedicated to creating technological solutions for social inclusion, and Innovar para Incluir (2016), a social project focused on scientific outreach and inclusive technology training. Specializing in Autism and ASD, he studied Education and New Technologies (FLACSO) and is completing a Master's in Science, Technology, and Society (UNQ). External advisor at CILSA ONG since 2019.
Mauro Soto:
Holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the National University of Salta and a specialization in Education and New Technologies (FLACSO). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Mauro is a researcher and educator, contributing to workshops, seminars, and academic courses. A former fellow at CILSA, NGO for Inclusion, he has excelled in projects focused on education and social inclusion.

Carlos Noreña:
Carlos Noreña is a founding partner of IOTIC SAS, a company supported by MinTIC and Colciencias through the IncubaTI program. His company specializes in developing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions integrated with mobile applications and web management platforms. In 2018, he achieved 3rd place at ActInSpace Colombia, earning recognition from the Trust for the Americas of the OAS for entrepreneurship with a strong ICT component.

- Daniel Gómez Mazo:
  Professor at Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla) and founding member of Ilex-Acción Jurídica. He holds a Law degree from Universidad EAFIT, an LL.M. in Critical Race Studies and Law and Sexuality from the University of California (Los Angeles), and an S.J.D. from Fordham University. A former Fulbright and Open Society Equality Fellow, Daniel has worked with Dejusticia, the Constitutional Court of Colombia, and Colombia Diversa.
- Anthony Rugama:
  Founder of Blacks at Microsoft Academy, which trains minorities to secure jobs in the IT industry. Cloud Specialist and Chair of Blacks at Microsoft in Latin America, he earned the Microsoft Platinum Award. Representing Costa Rica at RIAFRO-OAS, Anthony holds a master’s in Project Management, is completing his Ph.D. in Education, and is a world-class sprinter, ranked #4 in 200m and #6 in 100m in the masters category.
- Teresita Lanzagorta Bonilla:
  Director of YouthBuild Mexico, Teresita leads programs like Jóvenes con Rumbo and Oportunidad, focusing on life skills, educational reintegration, and employment for disadvantaged youth, including those in juvenile detention centers and marginalized areas. She is part of the coordinating team for the Alianza Jóvenes con Trabajo Digno, a multisectoral network of 64 entities. Teresita has dedicated her career to improving opportunities for youth in Mexico, contributing to various national initiatives.
- Nicole Huete Guevara:
  Advocacy Coordinator at Intersecta Organización para la Igualdad, A.C., Nicole focuses on violence against women, militarization, the penal system, and alternatives to criminal law to safeguard women’s rights in labor and university settings. She holds a degree in International Relations (Tec de Monterrey) with studies in gender and law (CIDE) and punitive feminism (Instituto 17). Nicole has over six years of experience working on feminist projects and with national and international civil society organizations.
- Cynthia Balderas:
  Cynthia is a psychologist with a clinical specialization and extensive experience in international recruitment across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Africa for companies in diverse industries. Currently a Career Coach at LaPieza Academy, a bootcamp helping individuals secure jobs that exceed salary expectations, she has guided professionals in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Poland to advance their careers. Cynthia is dedicated to innovative, bias-free recruitment practices, leveraging technology and a human-centered approach to create positive impact.
- Víctor José López Rivera:
  Web Developer at Asociación Conexión and a Computer Science student at Universidad Don Bosco, with 2 years of experience developing technology solutions for social well-being. Through Conexión's TICONGLE program, I specialized in Web Development via courses and workshops tailored to real-world demands, which significantly boosted my professional growth. - Vanesa González-Rizzo Krasniansky:
  Psychoanalyst with over 24 years of clinical experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and adults. A Ph.D. candidate in Critical Theory at Instituto 17 and an honors graduate of the Master’s in Psychoanalysis from Centro Eleia.   Trans-feminine activist and Executive Director of GAAT Foundation in Colombia. She leads projects for LGBTI communities, Deaf individuals, and sex workers. Co-founder of Libros del Armario and the Ciclo Cuir Literario, she also directs the Cuir Community Library. A transmedia communication specialist, Danne has coordinated accessibility in media and led key reports on trans rights, including Caminos Posibles (2020) and 5 Derechos en Clave Trans (2021).
- Martina Ansardi (ella/femeninos):
  Director of Contratá Trans, a program by Impacto Digital expanding across Latin America to promote formal employment and visibility for the travesti, trans, and non-binary community. Paula Dornhofer is a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Automation at Unicamp. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Unicamp, a Master’s in Mobile Communications from Politecnico di Torino, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. She served as Associate Director of the Exploratory Science Museum (2018–2023) and currently coordinates the Cognitive Architectures research line at Unicamp’s Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Architectures Hub (H.IAAC). Her expertise includes projects on generative AI, multimodal AI, and affective computing. She is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Data Science (BI0S).
Maite Capra:
Maite Capra holds a Ph.D. in Education, a Master’s in Educational Informatics, and serves as Regional Coordinator at The Trust for the Americas. With over 40 years of teaching experience and 16 years at the Trust, Trustshe has focused her career on enhancing lives through the productive use of digital technologies. Specializing in working with people with disabilities and vulnerable groups, Maite enjoys designing and delivering training, streamlining processes, and fostering equitable access to learning. Laura Kretly:
Laura Kretly, a Brazilian educator from Campinas, São Paulo, holds a Master’s in Education and Technology from UNICAMP and a specialization in School Management and Distance Learning. With over 15 years of experience in basic education, she has focused on educational management and teacher training. Passionate about the role of technology in education, Laura specializes in integrating digital tools to enhance learning processes. Since 2024, she has been part of the e-learning team at The Trust for the Americas,sleading educational initiatives in Brazil.
Yanina Diament:
Yanina Diament serves as an e-learning officer in The Trust for the Americas’ POETA program. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires and additional training in e-learning and technology in contemporary art. Yanina has worked in formal and non-formal education, educational project management, and distance learning. Her expertise includes instructional design, content creation, and MOOC production, focusing on innovative and inclusive learning experiences.
Mónica Delgado:
Mónica Delgado is a social communicator with experience in communication, education, culture, and gender. She has worked in training adults, women, and youth across Latin America. Currently, she serves as E-Learning Coordinator at The Trust for the Americas, leading and managing content development for POETA platforms and supporting online training with local partners. Oscar Raúl Ortega Pacheco:

Oscar Raúl Ortega Pacheco holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from IPN and a Master’s in Policy and Technological Change Management. With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, he founded Punto Seguridad magazine at UNAM and coordinates the LikeInteligente campaign at the Internet MX Association to protect children and adolescents online. He currently serves as General Director of Core Group Solutions, leading digital transformation and cybersecurity strategies for governments, educational institutions, and businesses.

Guatemala

Regina Owen is currently the Project Assistant for the DIA project “Unleashing the Potential of Jamaican Youth through Empowerment & Training” in Jamaica.
Regina was previously the Program Administrator of the VM Foundation and served as Project Officer at the National Youth Service.

Her profession has always led her down a path of philanthropy which has seen her execute programs, national campaigns, and projects which aim to better the lives of others.

Regina initially pursued a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Human Resource Development at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and later attained certification in project management.

Laura Rubio serves as a Regional Project Officer, supporting the implementation, coordination, and follow-up of initiatives across Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. In her role, she works cross-functionally with program teams, local partners, and strategic stakeholders to contribute to the effective delivery of regional projects focused on capacity building, inclusion, and access to opportunities.

Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations and a master’s degree in International Relations from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, and Universität Potsdam, a joint program recognized for its academic excellence. During her graduate studies, she focused her research on regional organizations, further strengthening her interest in international cooperation, social impact initiatives, and projects that promote the development of communities across Latin America.

Diana Andrade leads the organization’s technological infrastructure and data systems, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure the operation, integration, and continuous improvement of platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Power BI, Moodle, and WordPress, as well as The Trust’s Information System, a key tool for organizational monitoring, evaluation, and impact processes.

With a well-established career in the international development sector, Diana collaborated with UNESCO and other multilateral organizations in Ecuador, leading initiatives to create a National Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) Network. In this role, she promoted the strategic use of ICTs in rural and educational communities, as well as in initiatives aimed at strengthening local governance.

Diana holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication with a specialization in development projects and has completed postgraduate studies in Educational Technology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain.

María Alejandra has a solid background in communications for civil society organizations. She served as Communications Director for the National Network for Disability Prevention in Mexico (RENAPRED) and worked as an independent consultant managing advertising placements for the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). She also collaborated as an independent photographer for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Journalism from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she developed expertise in strategic communication, journalism, and social development.

With more than five years of experience in communications and international cooperation, she has built a career defined by her ability to navigate diverse sectors and multicultural environments. Isabella holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and an MBA in International Management. Her profile combines a global perspective with a strategic approach focused on creating social impact through communication and cross-sector collaboration.

Carlos Escalante se desempeña como Gerente de Comunicaciones de The Trust for the Americas, donde lidera los esfuerzos para mejorar la difusión y la participación a través de diversos medios y plataformas digitales. Mónica Maroquin is a Business Administration professional from Cali, Colombia. As a Project Accountant she contributes to our initiatives by developing budgets, account analysis, reports and statements to ensure proper use of the funds.

Prior to this, Mónica served as an International Customer Service and Billing Analyst in the first company in production of batteries worldwide and as an Administrative Coordinator in the Foundation of the Autonomous University in her hometown.

She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Myriam Stella Romero Romero has experience in providing consulting services to strengthen non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in several countries in Latin America. She has also experience in managing social projects related to the appropriation of information technology, promoting human rights and generating economic opportunities (entrepreneurship projects) to underserved communities.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Patricia is currently based in the Washington, D.C. area, where she supports donor-funded programs and organizational development efforts across the region. Through strong financial management, compliance, and strategic coordination, she contributes to the effective implementation of programs that advance sustainable development, promote financial inclusion, and create long-term impact across the region.

Alejandra Rojas is an International Banking and Finance professional from Cali, Colombia. As the Admin & Finance Manager, she oversees the administrative and financial part of the organization and its projects to enhance our impact in each of the projects the Trust implements.

Alejandra was awarded the Erasmus Munde Scholarship to finish her studies in Madrid, Spain. She has focused her career in financial development for organizations and projects that can reciprocate in society.

She is delighted about finance and understanding its impact on our society. She is also passionate about music, traveling, and getting to know different cultures and lifestyles.

She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Laura Kretly is a Projects and E-learning Officer at The Trust for the Americas, where she supports and leads educational initiatives in Brazil, integrating technology, pedagogical innovation, digital inclusion, and artificial intelligence applied to learning. In her role, she contributes to the design and implementation of projects aimed at expanding educational opportunities and strengthening digital skills for diverse audiences, especially within the social sector.

A Brazilian educator, Laura holds a degree in Pedagogy from UNICAMP and a master’s degree in Education and Technology from the same university, with specializations in School Management and Distance Education. She has more than 15 years of experience in education, with a career focused on educational management, teacher training, instructional design, e-learning, and

Throughout her career, she has worked with technology applied to education and, more recently, has developed strong expertise in the use of artificial intelligence to enhance teaching, learning, productivity, and capacity-building processes. At The Trust, she has supported the creation and adaptation of courses, digital resources, and training experiences for educators, youth, professionals, and organizations, connecting educational innovation with better opportunities for economic and social development.

Yanina Diament works as an e-learning officer at the POETA program in The Trust for the Americas.

She is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has a bachelor´s degree in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires. Additionally, she studied different fields related to e-learning and participated in an Updating Program on Technology in Contemporary Art at the University of Buenos Aires.

Previously, she worked in various roles related to the educational area: non-formal education, management of Corporate Social responsibility educative programs, formal education as a teacher, and in e-learning projects as content, instructional designer, learning experience designer, and MOOCs production assistant.

Karen Castro is a Regional Project Coordinator at The Trust for the Americas, where she contributes to the design and implementation of digital inclusion, employability, entrepreneurship, and economic development initiatives across Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Her work includes the operational coordination of regional projects, engagement with local partners, the implementation of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and collaboration with stakeholders from the public, private, social, and academic sectors.

Karen holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

Throughout her seven years at The Trust for the Americas, she has contributed to projects focused on strengthening digital skills and expanding economic opportunities for vulnerable populations. She has participated in initiatives related to workforce development, entrepreneurship, digital education, and economic inclusion across multiple countries in the region.

Currently, she coordinates projects such as Proyecto CIMA and DigiSpark in Mexico, Creating Youth Prosperity Initiatives (CYPI) in the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Costa Rica, as well as efforts to strengthen partnerships within the Trust Social Franchise network.

Adriana Rueda works as a Project Officer at POETA Program, providing technical support for its implementation and contributing to fulfilling its mission.

She is originally from Cartagena, Colombia, and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Tecnologico de Monterrey. Additionally, she has obtained continuing education certificates in Social Project Management and Public Policy Evaluation.

Previously she collaborated with the VIVE Project as an Administrative and Research Assistant, and as an Independent Consultant. She is also knowledgeable in areas such as e-learning and monitoring and evaluation strategies. As well, Adriana has experience as an academic researcher, publishing articles focused on women’s access in Latin America to tertiary education and the formal labor market.

Mónica Delgado is Ecuadorian and a professional in the field of social communication. She has extensive experience as an educator in both formal settings and the realm of popular education and communication, focusing on topics such as education, technology, childhood, and gender. She has extensive experience in educating adults, women, and youth in various countries throughout the Americas. She currently collaborates with The Trust for the Americas as Senior Coordinator of Academia Trust. Her role involves leading, coordinating, and managing content development for online learning platforms, as well as overseeing training and capacity-building processes in collaboration with local partners across various programs and projects. Mónica holds a master’s degree in Cultural Studies with a specialization in communication from the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, based in Ecuador. She has also worked as a university professor and is currently completing her doctoral studies in Latin American Studies.

Victor Manuel Vergara es un destacado especialista en monitoreo y evaluación con una sólida experiencia en gestión de proyectos y visualización de datos. Since joining the organization in 2016 as Centers Manager for the VIVE Project, Victor has made a significant impact by successfully managing information for more than 52,000 women trained across various cities in Mexico. With over eight years of experience in the field, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver innovative and effective solutions that support informed decision-making.

His commitment to excellence and his ability to develop clear and concise data visualizations have been instrumental to the success of the projects in which he has been involved.

Outside of his professional work, Victor is an active volunteer with organizations dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer and their families. He is also a prominent member of a group of cancer-surviving mountaineers, with whom he has successfully climbed some of the most challenging peaks in Mexico and Europe, and is currently preparing to take on new challenges across the Americas.

Through his dedication to professional excellence and his commitment to community service, Victor Manuel embodies leadership and selflessness in action. Lourdes Serrano is the Regional Program Manager for the Americas and the Caribbean at The Trust for the Americas, where she leads the strategic oversight and implementation of high-impact initiatives across the hemisphere. In this role, she oversees a diverse portfolio of programs focused on digital inclusion, economic empowerment, and social innovation, collaborating with local partners, donors, and stakeholders to drive sustainable and inclusive development.
With a decade of international experience, Lourdes has managed education and social inclusion programs in Canada, Germany, Mexico, and currently in the Americas. Her efforts have consistently expanded opportunities for communities by strengthening civil society and advancing equity through cross-sector collaboration.
Lourdes holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s degree in Finance. Her expertise lies in human development, innovation, women’s empowerment, and technology-driven learning. She is deeply committed to co-creating solutions to promote dignity, opportunity, and inclusion.

María Camila Guerra es Coordinadora Regional de Proyectos en The Trust for the Americas, donde lidera la implementación de iniciativas de inclusión digital y formación en habilidades tecnológicas en seis países: Chile, Colombia, Perú, Guatemala, El Salvador y Honduras. Su trabajo abarca la coordinación operativa con aliados locales, la adaptación de metodologías de formación según el contexto de cada territorio y el seguimiento técnico y logístico de los proyectos a su cargo.

She holds a degree in Political Science from Universidad Politécnico Grancolombiano in Bogotá, with a background in social science research and public policy. Before joining The Trust in 2021, she worked in the Colombian public sector on programs focused on the care and reparation of victims of the armed conflict, including her participation in "Laboratorios de Paz" alongside the High Advisory Office for Victims' Rights, Peace and Reconciliation in Bogotá, and her role as an Assistance Agent at the Unit for Comprehensive Victim Care and Reparation.

Since joining The Trust, she has contributed to projects such as DigiSpark, Strengthening Innovative Entrepreneurship, and other entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives across the region, building a career focused on social inclusion through technology and education.

Fátima is Brazilian, with European citizenship and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, an MBA in Innovation and Sustainability Project Management and specializations in the areas of Strategic Planning and People Management.

With a professional trajectory of over 35 years in the social sector, she has worked in strategic areas and in management, leadership and consulting positions, working in high-impact social projects and businesses, both national and international. Her experience in different areas made it possible to contribute to the transformation and empowerment of non-profit organizations through advising on the implementation of innovative and sustainable initiatives, in the areas of Mobilization and Fundraising, Projects and Social Business, Institutional Development, Corporate Governance, Knowledge Management and Strategic Management of Social Organizations.

As a volunteer, she participated in the foundation and management of different organizations, among them, a national federation dedicated to defending the rights and exercising citizenship of people with disabilities, acting as a Strategic Advisor; and an organization focused on the dissemination and implementation of good practices of Social Entrepreneurship in the country, acting as Director of Administrative, Financial and Institutional Development.

Fátima is particularly interested in topics involving technology, education, innovation and sustainability as essential resources for social transformation.

Maite Capra coordinates action, projects, and programs in Central America, the Dominican Republic and 5 countries in South America (AR,UY, BO, PY, VE)

She primarily focuses on the POETA Social Franchise, where she provides training and capacity-building and generates monitoring processes for projects launched in 10 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean region.

She has over 40 years of experience in special education, especially for vulnerable populations, people with disabilities, and immigrants.

Maite has a Ph.D. in Education, and she holds two master's degrees, one in Educational Technology and the other in Democracy and Values in Latin America. She is passionate about teaching and working directly with people. Maite has experience participating in international conferences, especially creating and presenting content. She focuses on topics of innovation and accessibility and also in AI.

Como Gerente de Proyectos y Desarrollo de Negocios, Jorge Márquez identifica oportunidades potenciales de financiamiento, elabora estrategias de gestión de grupos de interés y redacta propuestas para mejorar nuestro impacto en la región. Actualmente es el gerente de proyectos de Skills for Sustainability, una iniciativa binacional enfocada en brindar capacitación técnica e inserción laboral a poblaciones vulnerables y de bajos ingresos para puestos en el sector de gestión del agua en la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México.

Jorge’s professional experience includes working at Sucre Municipality Mayor’s Office in Caracas, Venezuela, where he implemented public policies in Petare, one of the most densely populated informal settlements in Latin America. Later, he joined Transparencia Venezuela, the Venezuelan Chapter of Transparency International, as coordinator of public finance. He was project manager of a humanitarian aid initiative across seven states of Venezuela and consultant of USAID’s Human Rights Program in Colombia.

Jorge holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela, graduate studies in Politics and Government from Universidad Metropolitana, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University. He is fluent in Spanish, English and proficient in Portuguese.

Luz Marina Correa Quiceno es Gerente Senior de Proyectos con experiencia en el diseño, implementación y gestión de iniciativas de alcance regional en América Latina, orientadas al fortalecimiento de capacidades de organizaciones y socios locales para promover la inclusión digital, la innovación y la generación de oportunidades económicas para poblaciones en situación de vulnerabilidad.

Es Psicóloga Social Comunitaria, Especialista en Desarrollo Humano con énfasis en Procesos Afectivos y Creatividad, y Especialista en Investigación Social Cualitativa. Cuenta con más de 20 años de experiencia liderando programas y proyectos de desarrollo social, emprendimiento, empleabilidad, transformación digital e inclusión económica, incorporando enfoques diferenciales, de género e inclusión.

Entre 2004 y 2007 participó en la gestión de proyectos psicosociales vinculados a los procesos de paz, reintegración y reconstrucción del tejido social en Colombia. Asimismo, ha liderado y participado en proyectos de investigación social de carácter cualitativo, y se ha desempeñado como docente y facilitadora de seminarios y talleres en investigación social, emprendimiento y desarrollo de capacidades.

A lo largo de su trayectoria profesional, ha desarrollado una sólida experiencia en el diseño e implementación de estrategias para la apropiación y el uso significativo de las tecnologías digitales como herramientas para la generación de oportunidades económicas, el fortalecimiento del emprendimiento, la empleabilidad y la consolidación de una cultura digital inclusiva en América Latina.

Pierina Nepote is an International Development specialist with 15 years of experience supporting projects in the fields of work-force development, entrepreneurship promotion, as well as youth and women empowerment through technology in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Americas. She has supported foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies through technical, operational, and financial support, as well as evaluation, strategy development, and capacity building services.

Pierina holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from ITESO University, Guadalajara and a Master’s degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham, England. Pierina is a native of Mexico and speaks Spanish, English, and French. At The Trust for the Americas, Pierina oversees the organization's systems, The Trust Academy and The Trust Social Franchise, which encompasses a network of 55 local partners across 17 countries in the Americas.

A digital Marketing Consultant, strategist and entrepreneur with 10 years and counting in the advertising & digital marketing space, Racheal has experience creating digital campaigns for well-known and loved corporate brands & and non-profit organizations.

She is an advanced Toastmaster who holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the Mona School of Business Management (MSBM – UWI), and certifications in project management, Linkedin Business and Google advertising.

Naketa West is the Project Coordinator for the DIA project “Unleashing the Potential of Jamaican Youth through Empowerment & Training” in Jamaica.

Naketa’s professional experience includes working in the private and public sector as well as with international development agencies such as UNESCO. She has served as the head of the Victoria Mutual Foundation, the Youth and Adolescents Policy Division of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information and the National Youth Service in Jamaica.

Naketa is a certified Project management professional (PMP) who holds a MSc. in Clinical Psychology and BSc. in Psychology and Criminology from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona. She also holds a post graduate diploma in Business Administration from the Mona School of Business Management (UWI, Mona).

In 2016-17 Milton Drucker served as senior advisor on economic affairs to the US Ambassador to Yemen, resident in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2015 sat the US Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. From 2011 to 2013 Milton Drucker served as senior advisor on economic issues to the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt.

Milton retired from the Foreign Service in 2011 after serving as Deputy U.S. Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States. Prior to that, he served as Director of the Office of Brazil and Southern Cone Affairs (managing US policy implementation with regard to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay); Deputy Chief of Mission and Charge d’Affaires, a.i., in Bogota, Colombia and Deputy Chief of Mission in Argentina. He has also served in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Conakry, Guinea.

Milton was a Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica between 1970 and 1972. He received a B.A. and an M. S. in Economics from Northeastern University.

In 2008 he was honored with a Presidential Service Award for his work in Colombia.

Alex Figueroa joined The Trust at the end of February 2018 where he is serving as the Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity, he is responsible for the management and operation of an internal team which supports the areas of finance, business planning, budgeting, human resources, administration and IT.

Prior to joining The Trust, Alex had worked at the General Secretariat of the OAS. Starting as a field accountant, he worked his way through the ranks and culminated a 17-year career as the Chief, Financial Operations for the OAS where he supervised a staff of 40 and had overall responsibility for the OAS’ financial operations In Washington and at the 29 offices away from Headquarters.

Alex holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Towson University and is a Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM). The CGFM is a professional certification awarded by the Association of Government Accountants. Alex is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Linda Eddleman is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Trust for the Americas. Under her leadership, the Trust expanded operations to 24 countries and created alliances with over 1,000 organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

From 2009 to 2010, Ms. Eddleman also served as Senior Advisor for the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS). She brings expertise in public-private partnerships, technology for development, competitiveness, and economic opportunities. A recipient of the Medal of Honor of Distinguished Service from the Ministry of Defense of Colombia, Eddleman is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was recognized by the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the “100 People to Watch.”

A White House Fellow, Ms. Eddleman previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regional Economic Affairs at the Western Hemisphere Bureau of the US Department of State, Special Negotiator at the US Department of State, Senior Trade Policy Advisor at the US Department of the Treasury and Special Assistant to the US Trade Representative. Ms. Eddleman served as a Member of the Board of Directors of both the North American Development Bank as well as the Latin American Policy Initiative.

Ms. Eddleman graduated with honors from the University of Virginia and holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she served on the Law Review. She was also a Fulbright Scholar in Barcelona, Spain. Ms. Eddleman has practiced law in Madrid, New York, and Washington D.C. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Juan Ignacio has worked at AES since 2001 and in 2022 was named Executive Vice President and President, International Businesses. Juan Ignacio has proven experience in business development, risk management and commercial strategy, and he combines his knowledge of the energy sector with AES global resources and local expertise to accelerate the responsible transition to sustainable energy.

Under his leadership, AES continues to grow its renewables and natural gas platforms in the region to ensure critical diversification, cleaner reliability and reduce reliance on oil to help our partners achieve their emissions and energy goals. In the past three years, he has led the acceleration of innovative energy solutions such as efficient lighting projects, solar generation for self-consumption of large commercial and industrial clients, the digitalization of our utilities, and soon the 5B prefabricated solar program in Panama and Puerto Rico.

Since joining AES in 2001, Juan Ignacio has actively participated in the opening of electricity markets in Argentina, the Philippines, Panama and the Dominican Republic. As part of the company’s strategy to accelerate the delivery of reliable and sustainable renewable and natural gas energy solutions in the region, Juan Ignacio oversaw the structuring of AES’ joint ventures with Grupo BAL in Mexico and with Energas in the Dominican Republic. He also led the closing of the first AES energy export from Argentina to Brazil that was a regional milestone in interconnection. His expertise in Strategic, Financial and Commercial Planning as well as Market Structuring and Project Management in emerging markets has led him to advise various AES businesses on promoting competitive markets and strategic business models that meet customers’ needs. He serves on the board of directors of AES Chile, AES Brasil, EnerAB in Mexico and AES Panamá.

Originally from Argentina, Juan Ignacio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Universidad Austral in Argentina and a masters degree in Project Management from Quebec University in Canada. He has also completed executive business and leadership programs at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He currently resides in Panama with his wife Luciana and two children, and enjoys traveling, running and cooking.

Born in Iran, Hadi grew up during the Iran-Iraq war. After immigrating to the United States, he spent his summers working as a software engineer to help pay his way through high school and college. Upon graduating from Harvard with a Masters degree in computer science, Hadi pursued a career in technology starting at Microsoft where he rose into the executive ranks. He founded two tech startups that were acquired by Microsoft and Newscorp respectively, and he has served as an early advisor or investor at many tech startups including Facebook, Dropbox, airbnb, and Uber.

In 2013 Hadi and his twin brother Ali ‘94 launched the education nonprofit Code.org, which Hadi leads full-time as CEO. Code.org has established computer science classes reaching 30% of US students, created the most broadly used curriculum platform for K-12 computer science, and launched the global Hour of Code movement that has reached hundreds of millions of students spanning every country in the world.

Hadi's family lives in Seattle, Washington and in his spare time he enjoys skiing, water sports, playing music, and playing word games.

Guillermo Areas is head of government relations and external affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean at BMW Group. He has previously held positions at renowned companies such as Bayer and DHL. One of his key focus areas is engaging with government, institutions, and civil society in promoting and developing the adoption of electric mobility in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has actively worked developing conditions for electric vehicles in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, and other markets.

He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide (AIPG) and is a member of the BMW Foundation, Responsible Leaders Network. Guillermo holds an MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management, a bachelor’s in international relations from Florida International University, which he attended under an Organization of American States Academic Scholarship, and an Associate degree in Political Science from Miami Dade College.

Guillermo is from Nicaragua and lives in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. He is married and has four children.

Stanley Motta is the CEO and President of Motta Internacional, S.A., and the Chairman of the Board at Copa Holdings. Mr. Motta is also on the Board of Directors of other companies such as ASSA Compania de Seguros S.A., Inversiones Bahia, Ltd., and Motta Internacional, S.A. In 2010, Mr. Motta was awarded the Americas Society Gold Medal in recognition of his leadership to promote sustainable socio-economic development in the Americas.

Paul Dyck has served as Walmart’s Vice President for International Government Affairs since October of 2015. He previously served as Senior Director for International Government Relations beginning in February of 2014. A trade policy and foreign affairs professional with over 15 years of senior-level government and private sector experience, Dyck previously served as Senior Counselor and later Senior Vice President of International Government Relations for APCO Worldwide between March of 2010 and January of 2014.

Between 2006 and 2009, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Europe and Eurasia desks of the International Trade Administration. At the Department of Commerce, he managed U.S. bilateral trade relationship with 52 countries, including the European Union and its member states, Southeastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the Caucuses and Turkey. He engaged senior foreign officials, business leaders and other stakeholders to eliminate trade barriers, resolve commercial disputes, advocate commercial projects and ensure trading partners met obligations under trade agreements.

Previously, Paul served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of State and as Associate Political Director at the White House.

Paul attended Austin College and the University of London.

As Founder and Chairman of Portland Holdings, Michael Lee-Chin is widely regarded as a visionary entrepreneur. In 2016 Michael Lee-Chin was appointed chairman of the government of Jamaica’s Economic Growth Council (EGC). Portland currently owns a collection of diversified businesses, operating in sectors that include financial services, consumer goods, waste management, tourism, insurance, agriculture and media.

Mauricio Doehner Cobián has been an Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Enterprise Risk Management at CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. since May 21, 2014. Doehner Cobián worked in the public sector within the Mexican Presidency. He is Independent Director of Vista Oil & Gas, S.A.B. de C.V. Doehner Cobián joined CEMEX in 1996 and has held several executive positions in such areas as Strategic Planning and Enterprise Risk Management for Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Mexico. Mauricio holds a BA in Economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey, an MBA from IESE/IPADE, and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Carlos Ardila Lülle Gaviria is the founder and head of the Organización Ardila Lülle. Among the companies within this organization there are RCN Television, RCN Radio, Iberplast, Postobón and others. Mr. Ardila Lülle Gaviria has at Organización Ardila Lülle many projects toward causes such as culture and education in Colombia. He is a Former Member of the Board: Postobon; Avianca; InCauca; Bankers Trust LatAm; Deutsche Bank LatAm; RCN Radio and Television.

Arciniega lleva 11 años en Microsoft, trabajando estrechamente con clientes y socios. Antes de asumir su cargo actual, fue durante cinco años Vicepresidente de Ventas Empresariales para Microsoft Latinoamérica. En ese tiempo impulsó la adopción tecnológica, lideró procesos de innovación ágil y contribuyó al crecimiento de los negocios de sus clientes. Previamente, se desempeñó como Vicepresidente Mundial del Sector Comercial en el grupo de Empresas y Socios de Microsoft, supervisando estrategias, marketing y desarrollo de soluciones para industrias como manufactura, servicios financieros, retail y bienes de consumo.

Antes de unirse a Microsoft en 2012, Arciniega ocupó el cargo de Vicepresidente Mundial de Ventas Empresariales en IBM, donde dirigió el segmento global de empresas medianas, con enfoque en hardware, software y servicios. También desempeñó otros cargos en regiones como América y Europa.

Ingeniero Industrial nacido en Perú y graduado de la Universidad de Lima, Arciniega es un apasionado de las personas y del mercado. A Tito le gusta viajar, jugar golf y hacer ejercicio. También disfruta del cine, la gastronomía y la lectura. Divide su tiempo entre Florida, Seattle y diversos países de América Latina. Está casado con Eva y tiene dos hijos: Tania y Alejandro.

Kim Meredith is Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, taking on the role of chief strategist, fundraiser, grantmaker, and advocate for one of the country’s top public hospitals, the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. She oversees all aspects of the Foundation and works closely with the Foundation Board of Directors.

After eleven years as the inaugural Executive Director of the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS), Meredith stepped down and immediately joined the Stanford PACS Advisory Board. Prior to joining Stanford PACS, Meredith served as the Chief Development Officer for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) in New York City. Before joining PPFA, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Planned Parenthood Golden Gate in San Francisco. Meredith launched her business career in corporate America at AT&T for nearly a decade.

Meredith serves on the Board of Directors of the George Lucas Education Foundation, Essential Access Health, Trust for the Americas and the Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen Foundation (LAAF) Advisory Board and YPO Pacific U.S. Gold Regional Board. She held a recent six-year board term on Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2).

Meredith graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics. In 2005, she received a fellowship to the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders, and in 2018 was sponsored for the UC Berkeley – Haas School of Business, Berkeley Corporate Board Workshop.

H.E. Amb. James Lambert serves as Secretary for Hemispheric Affairs (SHA) of the Organization of American States since October 1, 2015. Before joining the OAS, Lambert served for 33 years as a Canadian diplomat and Ambassador. As a leading expert on Latin America and the Caribbean in the Government of Canada, he served in Costa Rica, Japan, and Mexico, before becoming Ambassador to Guatemala and El Salvador in 2002.

Meredith graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics. In 2005, she received a fellowship to the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders, and in 2018 was sponsored for the UC Berkeley – Haas School of Business, Berkeley Corporate Board Workshop.

Javier Arnaiz has over 25 years of experience in the areas of finance, management and accounting. He joined the Organization of American States (OAS) in October 1995 working as a staff accountant in the Department of Financial Services (DFS). Prior to joining the OAS, Mr. Arnaiz held a position in the private sector with a computer manufacturing company in Virginia, where he served as the Controller. Throughout his career, Mr. Arnaiz held various positions at the OAS in DFS, including Cash Manager, Chief of Financial Reporting and Compliance, and currently Director of DFS and Treasurer of the OAS.

Susan Shattuck Benson founded The Trust for the Americas in 1997 based on her experience designing and managing OAS multinational projects in the fields of information systems, library and community development and marketing of craft. With a start-up grant from the U.S. Mission to the OAS in 1998 she built a team to create the first programs of technology for marginalized populations and for transparency, which evolved into today’s programs.

As president of the OAS Staff Association in the 1990’s she led a successful lawsuit against the Administration for its decades-long violation of the salary agreement. She then negotiated a new salary system, which remains in effect. She was awarded grants from the Ford Foundation, the Berlin Senate and Fulbright Program for her graduate work.

Luis Enrique García es Economista de profesión, concluyó su quinto mandato (25 años) como Presidente Ejecutivo y CEO de CAF – Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina en marzo de 2017.

He was Minister of Planning and Coordination and Chief of Staff of the Economic and Social Cabinet of Bolivia. In this capacity, he was Governor of the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and FONPLATA. He was also a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAF and a member of the Development Committee of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, representing Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. In addition to being Chairman of the Board of The Trust for the Americas, he is currently Co-Chairman of the Ibero-American Council for Productivity and Competitiveness and member of the Board of the Council of Foreign Relations of Latin America and the Caribbean.

He also participates in numerous International Boards of Directors and Advisory Councils and is a visiting professor at numerous universities, including the University of São Paulo (USP), the London School of Economics, and the Normal University of Beijing.
